Cultivating Dreams annual Fall Festival at the Farm event brought people together from CBS residences and day programs throughout Dutchess, Westchester and Putnam counties to celebrate the autumn season. They engaged in fun games such as pumpkin bowling, candy corn toss, corn hole, and a human-sized connect four. Talented staff were on hand for face painting and they created beautiful and spooky designs. Everyone enjoyed donuts and cider in the shade of the newly constructed pavilion. The pumpkin patch brought delight to those who carefully chose a pumpkin, big, small, white or orange, to bring home.
The K9 unit from the local sheriff's office conducted an impressive demonstration on the work of these specially trained German Shepherds. The audience asked good questions and at the end of the demonstration were able to visit with these amazing dogs.
A favorite annual attraction, Dallas Fields, his dog Buck, and his therapy animals were also at the festival. People enjoyed interacting with the ducks that played in their own pool, a very large, soft rabbit, and golden retriever dogs while learning interesting facts about them.
During the Fall Festival, tours of the farm and all it has to offer were available. People visited the greenhouses, open-air garden, sensory walking path, the renovated art barn, bocce, basketball and pickle courts and the farm house.
